Waiting for bootcamp

The wait for bootcamp is killing me I counting the days down, I ship 16th of November 2015, Ive just graduated from high school I'm 18 and most my friends are gone for college and the people staying behind aren't the best people I need to be hanging around and long days at the construction site make me count the days even more I'm excited to leave and see things and meet people I've hardly been out of Texas and I'm excited to go into AECF and see what it's all about because I've been told it's a great rate, I'm not sure what I'm getting at but I just felt the need to say the waiting is killing me

I actually got it in writing that if an earlier slot opens up, I will be asked to go. Otherwise, I will be waiting 'til January 5th.

You'll be asked. But it may be filled before you're able to reply.

Hey that's where I leaved for two years before coming back to Florida for school. That's where my family is ... But not Charleston

shortstuff 08-05-2015 05:15 PM

I could have gone to florida for college. The school I was going to go to had a campus in Daytona. When I applied though my parents talked me into the Prescott, AZ campus instead

I was going to. I was accepted and had about $20000 in scholarships, grants and federal loans but it still left me around $20000 short so I chose to go into the Navy instead. The admissions counselor I met with when she came up to Boise told me that Embry-Riddle actually waves tuition for anyone that serves 3 years active duty in the military which really helped me make my decision

I'm supposed to ship 20151221...I am NOT looking forward to the snow and freezing temperatures. My 'brother' is 6'3 and went during the winter when he did RTC and was saying how there was like 3 ft of snow...I'm a short 5' nothing...3' of snow is terrifying for me haha! Not to mention, I get cold when it's 80 degrees outside...Lord help me!

Best of luck man! Your ship date will be here before you know it trust me! If you have any questions about boot or navy in general let me know and I'll be more than happy to answer them.

I ship out in December, but I depped in June, so far the time has gone by fast even though it felt like it was dragging. I'm actually starting a new job this week in hopes it will occupy me some more! But the more time we have in dep will pay off. We can irritate and study as much as possible!!
