Sponsored Divisions
 

I've heard that in certain months the Chicago Bulls or Chicago White Sox would pay for your uniforms and possibly go their arena/stadium. Is this true? I ship out in June and I heard the White Sox usually do that. I was just wondering if someone knows for sure.

Yep this is true. It's only if your division wins though, there was a guy on RAP duty that came in during one of our recent DEP meetings who had a white sox jersey because his division won them.

What do you mean, "If your division wins"?

I don't remember what he called it, but there's basically like a challenge day between divisions I guess, and whoever passes all the inspections wins it, and that's the division that gets the jerseys and stuff. That's how I understood it from what he told us, anyways.

Every once in a while, a Navy squadron, ship or command will sponsor a division... they march with the appropriate flag... dunno what else they may get.

I was in the White Sox division in 2013 and we got to go to the game and get sworn in on the field. We also got a black tshirt that said White Sox division. We had a Sox flag we marched with and got a letter of appreciation from the organization when we graduated......not that cool really. And no they DON'T pay for your uniforms...
