RTC Leadership rolls

What are the best ways to better the chances of gaining a leadership roll during my time in Bootcamp?

Maintain military bearing at all times... don't talk... follow instructions. That's about all you can do. The rest is up to your RDC's.

Same advice... and then accept what comes of it.

That's what I was wondering too since I'm going in as E3. I think the key is that the odds are in your favor of not getting it, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to do it. If an RDC asks if I would like a leadership position would it be bad to say no (give it to the E1 recruits)?

If they ask they are really telling you.

They won't ask you if you want to have a leadership role. They will tell you that you are now (insert leadership position). Vouln-told, there's a lot of that going on.

Keep in mind that if you are appointed a position it isn't permanent. You can be fired if you aren't doing your job right. We went through a few master at arms (male and female), yeomans, and EPO's when I was in bootcamp.

My RDC's just "beat" (IT'd) the recruit leaders until they stopped screwing up... nobody in my division was ever fired.
