They let me and the others go home early today so we can pack and all, but seriously, nobody had more than 48 hours' notice (which I was told is relatively luxurious). Stay on your toes, because they LOVE to make you dance.

I had to do that to one of my sailors once. I felt really bad about it...
I found out Friday morning at khaki call that he was going TAD to another ship getting underway on Monday
Needless to say, I sent him home as soon as quarters was done.
