questions about MA rate

I see lots of people saying they want to be MA's for whatever reason, more than likely they think its going to be a high paced awesome job, but I always see availability for MA's? Why is that, is it because people go in THINKING they want to be a MA then switch out or what? I wanted to be an MA but I have other reasons for that not because I think the job is going to be super mega awesome, so I am hoping to cross rate whenever my time comes around since my DAR was a nogo.
