17 In Rtc.
Im leaving August 1st for RTC and was wondering if its any different for a 17 year old in there. I turn 18 August 27th so. Just wondering.

Nope...you will be treated the same as if you were 30 or 17...in boot you are all the same to the RDC's!

Well, that depends on your family/friends and if they send you birthday cards that sing or such.... I sent my boys those cards, and they KNEW I would send them, so they were prepared and thought is was funny.

If they do get on you about your birthday or singing cards, just expect to get yelled at and IT'd..extra PT. My 2 sons are "jocks" so they looked forward to extra PT, my son didnt get near enough in navy boot to the point he gained weight and got soft..kind of funny, as he was really used to running 5 miles every day, weight lifting, as all through high school he did all 4 sports all 4 years..basketball, track, soccer and football. My oldest son went army and was semi pro muey thai kick box fighter prior to enlisting...
