TN Security Clearance
Greetings,
I just enlisted into the Navy with a rating of Advanced Electronics(AECF), but I really interested in CTN, I know that it requires a security clearance which requires a credit check. All my finances are in order and I'm not behind any payments. I was denied cause my student loan was transferred from different financial institution, in which I don't have any control over. Is there any way that I resolved this issue so that I can re-enter the CTN program? Any help will be grateful. Cheers |

Just so you know, with the AECF program (which puts out ET's and FC's), you will be getting a Secret Security Clearance. All of us did. Some NEC's use it some don't. Some NEC's will require you to go on even further for the Top Secret.

So mostly, just wait it out for TS clearance and then apply for a rating change?

Ok, thanks for the information. Also, I have a concern about AECF, I already a bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering. Will there be any circuit board designing, circuit analysis, robotic systems in which we will be working with? Cheers |

No designing or robotics. But there is electronic theory involved.
