I don't know how much running you will do at basic, I was in an 800 div so our pt was different. This also won't e much help to you as you are leaving pretty quick but some good advice. The best way I have found to shave time is to do interval/sprint work. Go to a track and sprint the straight and slow jog the curves, sprint 30 seconds and jog a minute, any type of speed work is going to help you run a faster 1.5 miles. Make sure to not only do that though, keep doing your long distance runs as well.

When you go to Freedom Hall for PT (which you'll do several times in between PFAs) you'll usually have some kind of run training. There will be some interval stuff, where you'll run a lap and then stop and do an exercise, repeat for a while, and sometimes they'll just have you run for X minutes, the last of which is a full 20. You'll be fine.
